‘Theatre At The Casa’ presents ‘Refugee’, a one hour show, by Potentially Brilliant Productions, a devised, collaborative play connecting the personal lives of people trying to survive whilst being caught within complex international power relations and exploited everywhere they turn. Using elements of Greek Theatre combined with the first-hand experience of participants, one of whom worked at ‘the Jungle’ in Calais, a show which unashamedly treats the plight of refugees with empathy.
‘Dehumanisation and desperation. Hate and fate. Brutality and compassion. These were all explored with the intensity and understanding needed to show people with everything what it is to have nothing’ –
